Book Review: Starost

Two misfits, brought together by destiny.

Minerva Vlahos is a mysterious winged being, fleeing those intent on finding out who she really is.

Damon Nikolaidis has died more times than he can count, reincarnating each time in a new body.

When their paths cross, their lives become intrinsically linked.

But will the fickle whim of fate draw them together or tear them apart?

My Review

Minerva and Damon have known each other for decades. Each time at various ages, time periods, and as different people. Oh, did I mention that Damon is a body hopper. Every time that he dies, he is reincarnated into a different body.

This book is a joint effort by authors, Summer Davis and Kiley Muller. I thought the authors did a good job of writing this book as I could not tell where one stopped and the next one picked up or which was which voice. It was as if one author wrote the book. So for this factor, this is a plus in my book.

This is a very quick read. It is a story that you could get lost in if you are not giving it your attention. As it jumps a lot and quickly from time period to time period. In regards, to Minerva and Damon and their love for one another; I struggled a bit as Damon never really stayed in one body long enough for me to get see them interaction much. Therefore, I did not feel the strong connection they shared. It was not really until the last third of the story that I felt this love.

I might have been a bit too old for this story but I do believe that the new adult readers (18-25) is the target audience for this book. Still, I like this book and could see this book playing as a movie in my head.

Warning: There is a rape scene and self harm mentioned in this book.
