Seven days to stop them. Seven days until she dies.
Gabi knew getting involved with Monroe’s revenge plan against Sigma was a risk, but she never expected things to go this far.
She didn’t know her best friend would sacrifice herself, and although she knew her ex-boyfriend, Jace, was her enemy, she never thought he would let her become Sigma’s prisoner with a collar around her neck and leave her for dead.
But the thing about Gabi is she’s been torn down and underestimated before; a grave miscalculation.
Because Gabi is the eldest daughter of three.
And she does not break.
My Review
After the events of the first book, this one gets darker. There is a lot to unpack. Some things are cleared up but there are still plenty of twists and turns to be found in this book. I really enjoyed this book and liked the darker theme.
Gabi and Jace have their thing and then there is Monroe and Kieran. The dynamics between Jace and Gabi are a tug and pull. I was rooting for Gabi as she is a fighter. Kieran and Monroe are more of a hate/hate to love relationship. There were times when I even "hated" Kieran, but I must admit that I am a sucker for a bad guy.
This book is full of emotions, spice, mystery, and intrigue. A roller coaster of a read for sure.
