Book Review: A Piece Too Far

Some things aren’t always as they seem and come hell or high water, I will protect him. I will stand up and fight because he would do the same for me. Saving Wilder could mean losing myself, but no one touches what is mine and survives. I will find solace in my death if it means that he can live a life free of fear. Will our love be enough to weather the storm, or will we drown in the waves of our pain?

This is a DARK ROMANCE with HEAVY TRIGGERS. Reader's discretion is HIGHLY advised

My Review
Macie and Wilder have both wanted each other for years. Yet, neither have made the first move. That all changed when Wilder hires Macie as his personal assistant.

Wilder's sister and Macie's best friend Arden is hilarious. The way she kept nudging Wilder and Macie into each other's arms is funny. Yet, when she came unglued on Wilder for making Macie cry and then threating to tear his arm off if he did it again was great. I was laughing.

Evil Tina or I should call her by her nickname "Tuna" is horrible. I could not stand her and was glad that Macis put her in her place.

Once Macie and Wilder are alone, things heated up so fast. Like blink and they are in bed together. Yet, I was fine with the fast burn as these two were meant for each other. This book is a quickie read.
