Audiobook Review: A Simple Love

He left Richton to become a star. He's coming back to face the one he never forgot.

Oliver Hart
A well-known, leading Hollywood heartthrob is suddenly on the downslide.
Gossip and whispers of trouble follow him these days.
His latest project is yanked away, and a new role is offered to him.
One that sends him back home to the small town of Richton.
To the location of his greatest regret.
To where she is.

Kassie Brennan
The girl he once loved.
The one he left behind.
How will she react when she discovers he’s there?
Closer than either one of them realized?
Can the past stay in the past?
Or will their hearts decide their future?

Author’s Note: Get ready to fall all over again — for the Hollywood heartbreaker who never forgot the girl he left behind, and the woman still guarding the heart he once held. Small town. Big feelings. Second chances don't come easy — but some loves were always meant to find their way home.

My Review

I am obsessed with Oliver and Kassie. Yet, they were giving me lots of angsty heartache. Their story is not just puppies and butterflies. Nope, it is filled with real emotions. Poor Oliver. What he went through and to even be where he is at now is kind of a miracle. Kassie had her heart broken and yet she found happiness in baking.

For these two, coming home was the best thing that ever happened to them.

I loved this book so, so much. To be honest, I love this series. I gobble up Melanie's books. They are must reads. This book has it all...smalltown charm, engaging characters, great story, and a HEA. What is there not to love about all these qualities.

If you want to really enjoy this book, then, do an immersive experience with the ALC as well. It is narrated by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell. The audiobook is amazing hearing John and Maxine as the voices of Oliver and Kassie. Read this book now!
