Book Review: Twisted Salvation
No one knows the things I keep buried in the past, except Dr. Mercer. He holds my darkest confessions, and I cannot get enough of his praise. When love cannot bury the past—and my demons close in—will the devil himself pull me from the flames?
THIS IS A DARK ROMANCE WITH HEAVY TRIGGERS. READER'S DISCRETION IS HIGHLY ADVISED.
My Review
Just like all of Emily's books, they are trauma filled. Yet, the last several books, I have read by Emily, she has found a nice balance of the trauma, romance, and a solid storyline.
With this book, I connected with Myra. Not personally as I have been fortunate to not experience anything she had to endure but I think about what she went through and if I had, I would have found this book cathartic.
Dominic and Myra's relationship in a way I could see was healing for Myra. There were genuine feelings that Myra and Dominic shared. Although just because Dominic helped Myra out of her situation does not mean that things just became perfect. Myra did have to deal with her demons. This book is a strong showing for Emily.
