Book Review: Shattered Sunshine
Twenty years ago, I lost everything. My best friend. My family. My entire life.I swore I'd never come back here. Back to the house that holds all of our memories. Yet here I am. Back at Badlands. Wasting $12 for each watered down shot. One more to kill the memories. One more to numb the pain. One more to force me to forget. But those eyes... Those blue eyes, But not just any blue. A silver blue. Like the ocean before a storm. Calm but deadly. Just like hers...When she asked me what I wanted her to do, there was only one answer. "Please... I just want you to make me forget."<
Shattered Sunshine is a fast paced, MF, dark romance. Dad's Best Friend, New Beginnings, Overcoming the past.
My Review
Mina and Myles are two wounded, lost souls. What may have started out as desire turned into something more. I felt the deep connection that these two shared even before I know the whole story of what happened.
I really felt the strong, emotional turmoil that Myles was going through regarding his feelings towards Mina. It was not just about the physical aspect but there was an emotional connection as well that these two shared.
I was expecting this book to be all about the spicy romance of an age gap story but was not prepared for the angst. This is a very character driven story. I was fully invested in Myles and Mina. They went through a lot to get their HEA. This book is one that you won't want to miss!
