One locked door. No schedule. No guilt.
For fans of The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez and It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover, The Laundry Room Pact is a sizzling, second-chance marriage story about what happens when you stop pretending everything’s fine—and start asking for what you really want.
What if one locked door could change everything?Claire Winslow is juggling three kids under five, a husband who barely looks up from his laptop, and a laundry pile that might qualify as a health hazard. Somewhere between preschool pickup and grocery runs, she forgot what it feels like to be wanted-and worse, what it feels like to want anything for herself. So when her husband Nate leans in one night and murmurs, "We need a signal," Claire doesn't hesitate. The rules are simple:If the laundry room door is locked, that's the pact.No questions. No schedule. No guilt.Just them, behind that door—who they used to be before kids, and who they might still be if they're brave enough to rediscover it.What starts as a quiet experiment quickly becomes a lifeline-reigniting something Claire didn't realize she missed. But real life doesn't pause for passion. As old habits return, toddlers wake up early, and emotional distance creeps in, Claire finds herself asking:Can one small door hold together a marriage that's quietly come undone? And what happens when the signal gets missed?
Steamy, raw, and emotionally grounded, The Laundry Room Pact is a modern love story about long-term desire, the messiness of motherhood, and the secret spark that might still be hiding beneath the unfolded towels. The Laundry Room Pact is the first standalone novel in the Mom Club Confidential series-an interconnected collection of spicy, emotionally honest romances centered around five women, one group thread, and a whole lot of things they're not saying out loud.

My Review
If you are looking for an honest story, then you will enjoy this book. I like how Claire and Nate are so relatable in their emotions. As with any couple, I think we can all relate that the longer we have been in a relationship with someone, it just becomes routine.
I liked the idea of Claire and Nate stealing time for themselves to reconnect on both a physical and emotional level. It all started with a closed laundry door room. As the story progressed, I became more drawn to the story. The intimate scenes left me with a smile on my face. I was so happy for Nate and Claire.
