Book Review: Kentucky Nights

I’m a simple man who Iives by simple rules.

You work, you love, you build a life, and you die.

No one should outlive their given time.

I was ready to grow old and turn grey.

I was ready to hang up my lasso and let the sunset take me to another place.

Until the woman I loved turned me into a vampire against my will.

Now, I have to live two hundred years to finally die.

All I want is to be left alone so my time can come to an end.

But then I smell a scent that possesses my body.

It’s so good, so mouthwatering, that I follow its trail.

And it leads me to Druscilla.

The reason I will live for all eternity—if I want to.

I have to decide if I want death more than life with my mate.

Her life is in my hands.

And she has no idea.

*Dead Man's Ranch Series can be read alone without needing to read any of the author's other books.

My Review

I devoured this book! It is a great departure from January's other series. I am going to need more. I hope that Lorcan gets his own story in the future. Slow burn/mild burn, it does not matter, this book is amazing! It is one that you really will want to "sink your teeth into". (Pun intended).

All I could picture is Tim Rozon as Kentucky. Tim played Doc Holliday in the tv show, Wynonna Earp. Once you get to know Kentucky, you will fall in love with him. I literally swooned every time that he called Dru "Darlin".

After meeting Romeo, vampire horse. this now has to be a requirement in any other vampire books that I read where there is a horse featured in the story.
