Book Review: Grave Kisses

I was handed an empire and a fresh wave of grief. I was never meant to be a secret, but I loved life in the shadows. I am a flaw in the code that Vanderbilt never expected. Try as they might, I am here to stay. When hate turns to lust, and the shadows creep in, what will my legacy be?

This is a DARK romance with HEAVY triggers. Reader's discretion is HIGHLY advised.

My Review

I really enjoyed this book. Just like all of Emily's books, the FMC experiences trauma and learns how to relive again with the help of men that love her. This book is no exception. However, I actually liked that this time there was just a brief mention of what Kendra endured. It was just talked about in one point in the story and not graphically in detail.

Kendra was already strong, but she bloomed more with the men in her life that supported and loved her.

This book felt different from the prior books of Emily's. I mean this in a really good way. It was refreshing to read a book where the trauma was part of the story but not told so graphically. The overall storyline was able to shine and be the main focal point.
