Book Review: Poisoned Pawns

Four friends, three drinks, two boys, and one murder.

A simple text changes everything. Everyone is a suspect.

Trust is broken. Friendships are tested. Lies are told.

Hate turns into love, but is it all part of the game? No one is safe.

I've turned their college experience that should have been filled with laughter, football games, and partying into my twisted game of survival.

Buckle up for a rollercoaster ride of what ifs, where every move counts, and in this dangerous game, the next checkmate may cost them everything.

I'm back, and I plan to ruin them one at a time.

My Review

I was intrigued by this book. While other readers say it gives them vibes of Pretty Little Liars and Saw, which it does it also gives me vibes of Panic, tv show. The tv show is about a group of teens who play games that have high stakes.

For me, honestly, Ivy is ok. Not really attached to her or the others much but I am really into the overall storyline. That is what grips me and kept me reading. The "mystery" person who wants Ivy to play games or her friends suffer is great.

I will say that the last several chapters are where the intrigue really picks up. The author gets me really hyped up only to leave me with a cliffhanger! Um, no you need to give me the next book right away as I need to know what happens next.
