Book Review: The Kingpin's Call Girl

I'm not a call girl; I’m a college student—playing dress-up to find my sister.

One night. One assignment.

Get invited to the table. Memorize names. Get out.

Easy—until he walks in.

Luka Zogaj isn’t just powerful.

He’s lethal. Savage. Worshipped and feared like a god.

And when he sees me, he buys me.

Not for a night. For two weeks.

Now I’m living a double life—student by day, owned by a monster by night.

He doesn’t know I’m living a lie.

But every time he touches me, I forget who I am.

He’s the last man I should want.

And the only one who’s ever made me feel like this.

My Review

I listened to the audio version of this book and if you are an audiobook lover, you will want to select this version. Love me a Mafia romance. While Luka has the fierceness that I love about a kingpin, it was the grumpy side that I adored.

The way that Luka would push Edie away but then text her to come back and get all possessive was funny. Yet, the way Edie and Luka would share some steamy moments together was HOT! Edie may not be very familiar with Luka's world, but she is one tough woman.

This book has a good, strong storyline first and then the romance. I will be checking out more books by this author.
