Book Review: Body Tox

Asher

When a reformed serial killer turns to the life of an assassin, he finds his new target is not the rich little princess she appears to be. Posing as a body guard to get close to her, the more he uncovers, the more intrigued he becomes. What will happen when he pulls free the last mask she hides behind?

Echo
Being the daughter of a high security firms owner is taxing most days, and echo has to bide her time by getting her nails done, shopping the latest trends…and keeping her serrated golden dagger fresh with blood. Her past has set a path as an assassin to find the ones responsible for her mother's gruesome death. What will she do when a new nosy bodyguard is insistent on protecting her from the evil she is trying to extinguish? Can she keep her secret?

One contract. Two killers. Target? Each other. How far is the line between protection and task, and what will happen when the means to achieve the ultimate goal is connected to both of their painful pasts?

My Review

If you love Butcher and Blackbird, then you are going to want to read this book. Echo and Asher are probably though a bit more unhinged. It is for the banter that I enjoyed this book the most. Yet, I do have to say that Echo had a slight edge over Asher for me in regard to who I liked more.

As I said prior that instantly, I liked Echo. She had a snarky attitude that I can relate to. The way that she teased Asher is great. Not all torture has to be in the form of harm. Asher learns all about how Echo like's to "torture" Asher and things get HOT real fast!

This book moves at a really good, fast pace. You will not be bored. The last third of the story is where it took a twist and picked up. I will definitely be checking out more books by S.K.
