Then, all too soon, she finds herself in danger - from a vengeful political plot against Scotland and from the man who has come to take her home. Dutybound to return with his brother's wayward bride, Sir High Douglas is not prepared for how her quick wit, courage, and laughing eyes touch his warrior heart. Now, as the merry minstrels play matchmaker and passion sparks between Hugh and Jenny, the conspiracy against Scotland builds...and threatens all they hold dear.

Hm... a favorite author? That's way to hard! Lol. But I'll try.... Well, I really love Gabaldon's Outlander series, but I also love Lora Leigh's books (yummy alphas, count me in! LOL.) It just depends on if I want a 'sigh' romance novel or an extra steamy one. ;)
Enjoy,

Only Free Stuff Here- I can't recall if I have read anything by Jude Deveraux but I will have to check the author's work out
Julie - Another new author to me. I like historical romances. Thanks for the name
Book Queen - I have only read one book by Lora Leigh in her alpha series. It was pretty good. I understand about the mood factor playing a part.
Scottsgal - I like Linda Lael Miller as well
Sounds great!
One of my fav authors would be Nora Roberts - but love your In death series the best.

My favorite author -- definitely Diana Gabaldon (I love the Outlander series) and also Jude Deveraux. But I love any really good historical romance or one that has a solid time-travel story.
