Honey, It's All in the Shoes and How you wear them!
I am glad to be a part of this great blog tour. Courtesy of TLC Book Tours
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk in someone else's shoes?
Well Southern Belle Phyllis Norton Hoffman does exactly that in Honey, It's All in the Shoes. She takes readers on a delightful, fun, charming, and witty ride down memory lane into her life as well as the lives of some of the most famous celebrities to have helped pave the way to the great selection of shoes we have to choose from today.
This book is broken up into little chapters. Each chapter talks abut an event that either involved Phyllis or about a different famous icon and the shoes they loved to wear. At the end of each chapter, Phyllis has inserted a history lesson about some various shoes and where they came from.
I was really surprised by how much I loved this book. The reason I say this is because I am not a shoe lover at all. In fact I own about three pairs of shoes...a heel, sandal and tennis shoe. Phyllis talks about how she has a huge closet full of shoes. While I may not be a shoe fan, I did enjoy reading where some of the shoes originated from and their purpose. Oh yeah! You didn't know shoes had a purpose other then to help you walk.
Well if you want to know the details, then you are just going to have to pick up a copy of this book yourself and check it out. You won't regret it. You will even find yourself laughing along the way.
