Book Review: Touched by Her Fire
In a city built on illusions, the heat between them is the only thing that’s real.
Gloriana is a solitary creature, a half-succubus used to being the dominant personality in every room. But after being forced to pull the trigger on someone important to her, she’s reached her breaking point. She needs a place to hide and someone to watch her back who won’t ask any questions.
Llanzo isn't just a charming pixie in a bowler hat; he’s a man who sees through Gloriana’s facade to the person beneath. He’s a smuggler who deals in rare goods, and to him, she’s the most precious find in Las Vegas.
He promised her a tip for services rendered, but what he offers is the rare opportunity to be vulnerable. As he dismantles her defenses with unexpected tenderness, Gloriana must decide if she’s ready to trade her solitary life for a partner who will always have her back—and a passion that burns hotter than the Hells.
Touched by Her Fire is a story in the Scorching in Sin City world which follows the intimate lives of the paranormal denizens of Las Vegas. If you enjoy spicy, fast burns, sassy heroines finding their power, and monsters you love to crush on, this book is for you.
My Review
If you are not a fan of fast burn romances, then, this will not be the book for you. There is no lead up. As soon as I started reading, it was like jumping straight into the frying pan with both feet. Gloriana and Llanzo definitely brought the fire!
This is a short, quick read that is full of spicy moments. I felt like I needed a cigarette afterwards. Daddy Llanzo brought it. Yes, we have a Daddy. When I imagine pixies, I think of them as small, delicate creatures' kind of like Tinkerbell. Llanzo changed me perception of pixies.
Another good addition to the Sin City world. Spicy for sure.
