Book Review: The Hockey Situation

Hating Patterson Cross is easy.
Keeping my hands off him? Not so much.

He’s my ex-fiancé’s identical twin brother, my father’s star hockey player, and the man I’ve despised for years. That’s three very good reasons I shouldn’t ask Pattycakes to be my hookup for the season.
But I recklessly do it anyway.

To my surprise, my biggest hater says
yes.

We agree to keep it secret. Behind closed doors, I’m his. In public, nothing changes. It’s so much harder than it sounds. Because the more time I spend with Patterson, the more I realize hate was never the problem. It was just easier than admitting the truth.

My Review

As soon as I started this book, I was hooked. This is no surprise to me. If Lyra writes it, I will read it. The enemies to lovers trope is very strong in this book.

Kendall and Patterson hate each other for the past history. Yet all it took was a night out with alcohol and a little jealousy involved to make both Kendall and Patterson forget for a moment that they "hated" each other for them to lock lips. I told this to my husband and he laughed.

The nicknames that Patterson and Kendall had for each other were great. They will forever be remembered as "Patty Cake" and "Ken Doll".

Patty Cake and Ken Doll brought all the spice. Anymore spice and the ice rink would have been nothing more than a swimming pool. I love these two. This book scores a winning goal!

The Hockey Situation is an enemies-to-lovers, forbidden, sports romance with a happily ever after! It can be read as a stand-alone. Included: spicy scenes and a cocky hockey star who’s playing to win…her heart.
