Book Review: Gracie Gets Lucky

She wants a one-night stand. He wants forever.

Gracie Smith has a plan for St. Patrick’s Day.
Find a bar. Find a stranger. Have a reckless, forgettable one-night stand.
No feelings. No promises. No complications.

There’s just one problem.
A man.
Her lifelong friend, Beck.

Best friends since kindergarten, they grew up in each other’s backyards, scraped knees and whispered secrets. A first kiss they promised meant nothing.

He’s her safe place. Her comfort. The one person she can truly be herself with.

But this St. Patrick’s Day, with green lights flashing and beer cups overflowing, Beck is done standing by while Gracie gives herself to men who don’t deserve her. Done pretending friendship is enough. Done watching her break her own heart.

Tonight, he’ll make her see him.
Make her see herself.
Tonight, he'll ruin the friendship.

A spicy, emotional friends-to-lovers novella about crossing the line, choosing forever, and realizing the most dangerous thing isn’t losing your best friend, it’s never taking the chance at all.

My Review

Gracie is ready to get her groove on. By this I mean for a one-night stand. There is just one problem...Beck. Beck and Gracie are best friends. They met when they were both little.

"I was never the guy she would choose."

As the years progressed and beck and Gracie got older, their feelings for each other started changing from friends to more but neither one thought the other wanted more.

"He kissed me like he loved me."

I love this book so much. Gracie and Beck are endgame. I "ship" they both hard. Yet, for me what I loved the most was the flashbacks to the past. This is where the pure gold of the story really tied it all together. The past and then back to the present. I grew emotionally closer to Gracie and Beck each time I went back to the past.

"All that exists is Beck."

There is a special treat in this book. OMG, the prom night art by Momo Mitsuko is gorgeous. This book is one that you NEED to read.
