Book Review: Tempted by Blood
He was supposed to be just another name on a contract.
A bounty to collect.
Until temptations of the flesh scorched the line between love and hate.
Leni:
I was the villain in stilettos and red lips.
Trained in the art of seduction and death.
As a clinical psychologist, I was an expert in the intricacies of the mind.
Yet my own was a labyrinth of suppressed traumas, ghosts, and untapped grief.
Faced with betrayal, I never expected to find salvation at the other end of my barrel—in someone who also desired my death.
He was a man without a past.
Hands drenched in the blood of those before me.
Yet his touch was the spark my heart needed to feel.
Where Silas would set the world on fire, I would walk through the flames.
My Review
I absolutely devoured this book in one afternoon. Tempted by Blood is high octane adrenaline! Think Mr. and Mrs. Smith but in book format. Tempted by Blood will have you on the edge of your seat and ignoring real life!
Silas and Leni may have met under unusual circumstances, but they are perfect for each other. To quote Leni "I'm so glad I was chosen to be the one to ki!! you." Hard to believe they went from Leni sta&&ing a fork in Silas's thigh to "No. I sta&&ed you twice and tried to shoot you, and yet here you are, holding my hair as I vomit my life out."
The only downside I have to this book is that I have finished it and now have to wait for the next book in this series. Luckily Silas and Leni will live rent free in my mind.
