Book Description:

Right after Thanksgiving is the busiest time of year for Santa and his crew of eight famous reindeer! Every year, the Famous Eight sleigh team from the North Pole eagerly helps Santa by going on a quest to find kids who believe in Christmas magic. In Santa’s Magical Reindeer: Becoming Pen Pals, Prancer, Vixen, and Dasher go on an adventure in search of eager pen pals. On their journey, they find three rambunctious girls who eagerly exchange letters with them and become lifelong friends.

My Review
This is a sweet read. I as a child did write to Santa but the idea or being pen pals to his reindeer is a fun idea. This actually made me think back to when I was younger and participated in a pen pal program. It was fun to write to someone in another country and get a letter back. 
Dasher, Vixen, and Prancer are very excited to find their pen pals this holiday season. They search and come across three sisters, Kylie, Rinnie, and Kenna. They write to the sisters, who in turn are very excited to write back. 
The illustrations in this picture book are great. They were not too busy. I love that the story was short with each page only containing a few lines. There were not many big words, so my seven-year-old niece could easily read this book on her own for the most part. She enjoyed the idea of writing to the reindeer.
