My Review
As a fan of mystery/thriller books, readers will want to check out author, Lauren Carr. I have read a handful of books by her and enjoyed them all. This newest book is no exception. I really like Sam and that he uses dogs, Cleo and Gus. They may have stolen part of the limelight from Sam. Lauren did a good job of showing off each of their personalities as well. 
Sam assesses every situation with a very analytical mindset. So, he may have come off a bit standoffish to those he first meets. Yet, as you get to know him better, he really does care. Thus, he shows this with helping Bryce to clear her name. 
The whole story moves at a fairly fast pace. So, you never get bored. There are twists and the ending is good. I do look forward to seeing Sam, Cleo, and Gus again.
