Book Review: Stolen from the Demon Prince

STOLEN FROM THE DEMON PRINCE by Lauren Crowne is out now. Check it out and be sure to grab the second book in the Sins of the Blood War Series!

Title: Stolen from the Demon Prince

Author: Lauren Crowne

Genre: Paranormal Romance

About Stolen from the Demon Prince:

The demon prince is possessive, jealous, and determined to protect what is his.   Can the prince ever see me, a former fae slave, as his equal? Or will he always see me as only a possession to protect?   The longer Leo and I are in the demon kingdom, the more obvious it becomes to both of us that it's not safe for me to stay there with him. Demons want to take me from him at every turn, and rival factions are eager to use me as a pawn to hurt the prince.   When it seems impossible for us to be together, will the prince abandon his title, throne, and kingdom for me? Or should I seek out the fae city and find a new home with my own kind?   Despite all of the forces working against us, deep down I know that the only home I've ever wanted was with him.   Unfortunately for me, there are demons who will refuse to let that happen.   All books in the Sins of the Blood War series contain spicy tension, deliciously steamy scenes, characters who talk (and curse) like adults, and occasional moments of violence. Leo's a prince who can do whatever he wants, after all, and in this book, what he wants is her.

My Review
Things definitely heating up now that Leo and Vera are in the demon kingdom. Vera finds herself even in a battle having to use her fae skills. Leo has enemies to watch out for. Yet, Vera and Leo are stronger together. Which also makes their love for one another stronger as well.

I do like these books and the world that the author has built for this trilogy. It has been nice to see Vera grow stronger as the series progresses. Leo is great as he stands be her and supports and protects her. He would do anything for her. I will say that the steam level is light. So not as much a dark romance but a paranormal story with a dash of romance.

The only downside I have to these books is that I do find that they seem to move a bit too slowly for me. Yet, I do want to see this trilogy to the end.

Read Book 1, SOLD TO THE DEMON PRINCE:

The demon prince is arrogant, dangerous, and hot as sin. He is also my new owner.   As a fae slave, I knew that one day I'd be sold at auction, but I never expected to be purchased by royalty, much less by the demon prince himself.   Rumors say that Prince Leo is a cruel master who murders his fae when they no longer entertain him. They say he's just like every other species that harvest the magic in our fae blood.   But I know the truth.   There's more to the demon prince than what the world sees. He has plans, big plans, and if I agree to help him, it could mean freedom for me and every other enslaved fae.   When the day comes that I'm given the chance for freedom, will I take it, even it means leaving Prince Leo forever? Or can I admit that the demon prince who owned my body might own my heart as well?   All books in the Sins of the Blood War series contain spicy tension, deliciously steamy scenes, characters who talk (and curse) like adults, and occasional moments of violence. Leo's a prince who can do whatever he wants, after all, and in this book, what he wants is her.
