Martha and her husband, Ronnie have boarded a plane to head back to Atlanta. Things are going alright until all of a sudden a bright light flashes and Martha is gone. It seems that Martha is not the only one missing. Most of the passengers on the plane have disappeared. The few people who are left are in for a big surprise, when the others return. Though not the same way that they left. I wanted this book to be so much better than it actually turned out to be. As I was reading it, images of the Left Behind series was flashing in my head. Due to the way that the people disappeared and than the set up afterwards. Just like with the Left Behind books, there was a lot of dialect with the characters. There were about three or four main story lines but nothing really hinted at what the true effects of the disappearances of all the people were until later in the book. Review by Nancy The Black Opera is anything but boring! It keeps you hopping from one decade back to another to Tomorrow and today and most places in between. It tells us who really killed Kennedy (both John and Bobby) and how you can get a free suitcase with a nuke in it; among other things. It explains Chappaquiddick and all things political that you’ve ever wondered about if you grew up in that time period. And we all did. There are plots afoot and American Thunder is point on most of them. Led by a man named Adam Eugene Carver who was CIA, then FBI and then…..well, you’ll see. They planned the Kennedy assassinations, the death of the Rolling Stones and many other things you thought were terrorist plots. This book is a mega hit! It has an answer for nearly anything ‘60’s related and into the ‘7y0s as well. A thriller, you bet – but one that makes sense which is the scariest part of all. JFK’s twin sons????? Who knew??? Go get it, quick!

Catherine Lambert is an attorney with Edwards and White. They are a global corporation. Catherine works in the Paris branch but when she receives a mass email that the company is looking for staff to transfer to their New York location, Catherine accepts. As soon as Catherine walks into the New York office, she instantly has regrets about transferring. I was not sure if I would like this book as it is not something that I typically gravitate towards but it sounded good, so I decided to give it a chance. So, glad that I did. This book is hilarious and a quick read. Like for example when Catherine was being explained all the perks about health insurance, 401K, dental, etc. One of the benefits was pet insurance. Creating a steampunk ensemble requires imagination, ingenuity and creativity. The New Victorian movement is rarely portrayed accurately in movies in the true style of genre. To say that it “damns the factory but celebrates the machine” is one of the most accurate quotes stemming from the budding subculture. Aristocrats are not fine lords and ladies but rather ship captains, yard bosses, and storekeeps. This is the working class Victorian. Creators, inventors, metal smiths, dressmakers, musicians, and explorers are the celebrities of the time and with that comes a more practical ensemble. Figure out who you identify or can lose yourself in. After that, you must create the wardrobe to support it. Thrift stores can be a great source to find sacrificial items to be altered. Many a prom dress was reinvented into a Victorian steampunk gown. Do a little research before going in so you can keep an eye out for what makes sense.
