My Review
Luca aka Bones has caught a "butterfly" Athena. Bones is not about to let Athena go any time soon. For anyone in Athena's situation, they would cower but not Athena. She is reliant and as the story progresses, she does emerge as a butterfly from her cage.
If I found myself captive, I got to say I would not complain if it was with a guy like Bone. He is crazy but not like crazy mad but crazy unhinged way. Not sure if that is better but I do love my book boyfriends to be unhinged.
Amanda Stribling and Joe Arden are amazing voicing Athena and Bones. I could listen to these two all day. You want strong voices to help elevate a story. That is what you get when you listen to the ALC.
Reaper:

My Review
I am a sucker for a total unhinged MMC. That is what Reaper is. I agree with his brother, that he should have been called "Psycho". Yet at the same time, "Reaper" fits him just right as well. The way that he is obsessed with Belle's eyes to the fact that he wants to "preserve" them is chilling.
If Reaper goes through and owns a pig farm...beware. Don't get on his bad side. I love Belle. Why she was afraid of Reaper and who can blame her; she still put up a fight. She is a fighter for sure. The more she fought, the more Reaper loved it.

Kage:

My Review
While I loved the first two books in this series, there is something about Kage that really got to me. It might be because his story is more Mafia style and the fact that he was "anti-love" that I loved this book so much. I love to see a MMC fall fast and hard for the FMC.
Raina is tough. I love a strong woman. She is a good match for Kage. Raine and Kage are definitely enemies to lovers. I am obsessed with these two.

My Review
This book hits a little bit differently from the other three books in this series. Although, if I could compare, I would say it is kind of similar with Kage's story. In the fact that the FMC has a history with the Bonetti family.
Anastasia is out for vengeance. She may think she can take on the Bonetti family but Psycho is standing in her way. There is a lot to unpack here with the history between these two and the trauma. Psycho being the oldest as well.
Blair Thatcher & Sean Masters are amazing. I love anything that Sean narrates. You will not want to miss listening to the ALC.
