Book Review: Karma

Image
My name is Bexley Adams, but most people call me Karma. I control the streets, where my name is whispered with hope and horror. I am the enforcer of justice, the blade in the night and, well, I have fun doing it—until I accidentally catch the attention of the three kings of the city. Each of the three Sai brothers is more dangerous than the last, and right now, their gazes are locked on me. They claim to want my help, offering me a contract, but they must be dumber than they look if they think I can't see the trap waiting for me. There is a saying, “Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer,” but I couldn’t get much closer than this. I’m in their house, their beds, and their minds, and before long, these three kings will bow to me. They thought the three Sai brothers were insane—wait until they meet me. My Review Bexley is deadlier than a black widow. Her nickname is one that everyone fears, even the most powerful men know to not mess with Bexley, unless you want to find y...

Book Review: Kiss of Death

Image
From the moment our paths crossed, Wrath has always been with me. Until he's not. The Barbarians come for the Southern Isles by land and sea, and once the battle commences, I quickly learn that the command of the dead has been stripped from me. All I have left is the strength of a god, but that's more powerful than armor made of dragon scales. I know that Wrath still lives if I have this ability, and it feels like a message beyond the Underworld. That he hasn't left me. At least by choice. I have to survive this war and save my father. And then I'll find the man I love. My Review Lily is her father's daughter. She is strong like him. A true queen. The barbarians may be fierce, but Lily is fiercer. She has a good group of people to support her with Hawk, Viper, trusty, Khazmuda, and  Callum aka Wrath. It was so great to see Lily taking charge. She has really turned into a warrior. She is not the little girl from years past. It was nice to get to know Hawk and Viper...

Book Review: Insert Token For Love

Image
Ten years ago, two step-brothers entered their family’s arcade restaurant and were never seen again. Some suspected foul play—maybe even murder. Now, the restaurant lay vacant—reportedly haunted. Samara Stormcrow, a ghost hunter determined to find proof of life after death, sets out to find the truth about Caine and Lucky Ward. What she never expected to find was the brothers, alive, cursed, and trapped inside the arcade equipment. They need to break their spell, and maybe she’ll be just the person they need to help them claw their way out. However, Caine and Lucky need to learn to get along before anything else—and that might be the hardest game in the arcade to beat. Insert Token for Love is an MMF, step-brother, sentient object romance. My Review I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me of my childhood with the arcade games. The spice is low/medium, but it is backed with a really good storyline and enjoyable characters. There are plenty of funny moments to be found throughou...

Then Massimo Caruso shows up, promising safety. He says I have people who want to protect me from the chaos I’ve been dragged into. But Massimo is part of that chaos, so how can I trust him? Every time I try to push him away, he pulls me deeper. Chipping away at my walls with teasing smiles and calming words and doting on my son. I have to make a choice--run from the man who claims I’m his, or trust him to keep us safe? My Review Emily has taken me on quite the rollercoaster journey with this series, and it is not over yet. To say that ...

Book Review: A Christmas Deal

Image
Home for the holidays. First-semester assignments behind me, no exams to study for. I have it all mapped out. Snowy afternoons by the fire, curled up with a good book and a steaming cup of cocoa. Evenings with the family catching up and baking cookies. What wasn’t on the agenda was the school’s star linemen and world’s worst tutee crashing the party for extra study time, and tagging along to my hometown. Now I’ve gotten us roped into a scheme to ward off the ex that broke my heart. But the plan we agreed on is crumbling with every charming smirk and wandering touch. The lines have blurred, and for the first time in my life, I don’t have all the answers. My Review Looking for a quickie, holiday book, you will want to pick up this novella. Although, if you are an audiobook lover, then, I suggest grabbing the audiobook. Christina Sivrich does a really great job of single handily narrating the audiobook.  Clara and Preston made a cute couple. Preston is definitely ten times bett...

Book Review: Fatal Collision

Image
Jessica Holt’s  only goal is survival. Keep her sick mother alive. Hold her family together. Stay out of the Heights, where power and corruption rule. But one desperate choice changes everything. One trespass. One forbidden touch. One king who refuses to let her go. Kane Ravencourt  isn’t just anyone. He’s Bleakmoor’s heir, raised on money, secrets, and lies. He’s the last person she should provoke. But she did. She stole from him. She tempted the hunter instead of running. And now, she’ll pay the price. Because being noticed by Kane is dangerous. Being wanted by him is deadly. And together, they’re a Fatal Collision. Fatal Collision  is a forbidden rich boy/poor girl, opposites attract romance. For mature readers only. Contains explicit scenes and adult themes. My Review I love Jessica. She is awesome, snarky, and fierce. Not like any of the typical women that Kane has been with in the past. She is a challenge. I absolutely loved the scenes where Jessica had the u...

Book Review: Frost Bite

Image
You can run but you can’t hide. Every Christmas Eve, a virgin is given up as a sacrifice to Saint Nick. She’s left in the woods with nothing but the clothes on her back. If she dies, the town will feast. But if she survives the night, another will be sent in her place. For Imogen, that means her little sister could be next. The Four Horsemen live for the hunt. But they have no intention of killing their prey this year. After centuries of blood and servitude, Conquest, War, Famine, and Death plan on keeping the sacrifice for themselves. And if they get what they want, Imogen won’t be a virgin for long. This Christmas, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been naughty or nice… only that you survive. Frost Bite is a dark holiday romance, a stand-alone novella where the FMC ends up with multiple MMCs. This book contains content not suitable for all readers. Please refer to the author’s website for a full list of CWs. My Review Imogene has been sacrificed by her father to help save the village...

Book Review: Born for Marble

Image
“Take no man. Bear no children. I am The Queen of The Cradle.” In the dystopian land of The Cradle, ten-year-old Tuscany begins her reign. Crowned as Queen and Mother, she endures harsh medical treatments designed to carve a living deity worthy of the people's reverence. Nurture. Inspire. Endure. That is her Meaningful Purpose. But Tuscany is more human than previous queens, becoming trapped in a cycle of mental instability, memory loss, and age regression. Before she fades away, her father is killed, and her beloved brother takes the throne, granting her a Guardian to protect, guide, and sacrifice himself for her. Kong the Unbreakable is a seven-foot-tall Guardian with a stoic demeanour and a heart torn between loyalty and honour. As he stands watch at her door, night after night, he quietly falls in love with the girl hidden behind it, the one too afraid to step outside and be strong. When Tuscany finally leads a campaign into the desert with Kong at her side, she tastes freedo...

AudioBook Review: Painter's Obsession

Image
I wasn’t supposed to feel this way about him... the man dating my sister. But no matter how much I try to focus on other women, my mind keeps circling back to him. It started as unease, an itch I couldn’t scratch, a feeling that there was something off about him. Then it grew... an obsession I couldn’t control. Secrets aren’t meant to come into the light, and monsters should stay under the bed. I thought I was smart enough to keep my distance, but with him, logic vanishes. There’s no sense—only madness. The deeper I dig, the darker it gets. He’s not just a man with secrets...he’s something much worse. And I’ve made one fatal mistake...stepping into his world. Now, it’s not just about uncovering the truth. It’s about surviving it. THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE.... THIS IS STOCKHOLM... TOXIC WITH AN UNCONVENTIONAL HAPPY ENDING.. THIS IS MORE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL EROTIC HORROR. My Review Grab this audiobook. It is star studded with the narrators, Mia Moreno, Corvin King, and Joe Arden. I mean w...

Book Review: Aliens Are Out There...And So Is She

Image
She ain’t from Wilflower. He ain’t convinced she’s even from Earth. When Georgia Culver’s life implodes, she packs up her bags and flees to the small town of Wilflower, Texas. She’s not sure what she’s looking for, but it definitely isn’t the camouflage-wearing conspiracy theorist next door. Enter Jesse Pickens. Local handyman. Hardcore conspiracy theorist. Likely feral. He’s been tracking UFOs and deep state surveillance vans for decades, and he knows, for certain, that beautiful women don’t just move to Wilflower. Georgia sets off every alarm bell in his head. Government plant? Alien? Either way, he’s watching her. But when strange occurrences start piling up, starting with another new neighbor who works for a government agency that doesn’t exist, Jesse drags Georgia into his investigation. Between stake-outs, growing feelings, and raccoons with a taste for PB&Js, Wilflower’s about to get a lot weirder. Aliens Are Out There...And So Is She is a cozy, sci-fi small town romco...

Book Review: The Wrong Brother

Image
She’s the bride-to-be. He’s the wrong brother. Their instant hate sparks a fire neither can extinguish. Beatrice Wrong crashes into Noah King’s world, tripping over his designer bag and igniting  instant  hatred. Sparks fly, but not the good kind. As her fiancé’s brother, Noah is off-limits, yet every biting insult and heated glare fans a dangerous flame. From Tahiti’s shores to tense corporate New York, their banter turns venomous around every corner. And it sets everything on fire when she starts working for him as  his assistant  because  no one else  can survive the hurricane of Noah King. This is a true slow burn, instant enemies-to-lovers, workplace, forbidden romance, duel POV will set your heart on fire. My Review Ariana does it again. She had me from the first moment when Bea tripped over Noah's luggage. This book may be a slow burn romance, but it was insta love at the first page for me! The only thing that would be "wrong" about this book ...

Book Review: Overtime Positions

Image
Franchesca  Frankie   Blake’s life is a carefully balanced single mom, rink-side bartender, and secret late-night skater with two left feet. Romance? Not on the schedule. Especially not with the cocky, dominant, too-hot-for-their-own-good beer league boys who practically live at the rink. At least, that’s what she tells herself—right up until a babysitter emergency drops her kids in the laps of Travis and Elliot. Travis is a rugged carpenter who smells like sawdust and sin. Elliot is a golden-retriever firefighter who blushes when he’s turned on. They’re best friends, which makes her off-limits. But stolen glances spark into heated kisses, secret phone calls, and one night that turns into three tangled bodies and dangerously tempting more. Now Frankie’s juggling bedtime stories, secret sleepovers, and two men who don’t know how to share—but aren’t willing to let her go. But someone else is watching. A stalker lurks in the shadows, leaving behind chilling reminders that ...

Book Review: Longing for the Minotaur

Image
This holiday season, the truth will finally come out. Valentina has always had a complicated relationship with Banon, the son of the minotaur woman her father married. He’s drop dead gorgeous, full of himself, and football runs in his blood. Even though he was instrumental in the misery and bullying that were her high school years, Val has always held a torch for him. Now in college, she thinks she’s finally moved on from her childhood crush. Though he tries to hide it, Banon has hungered after Valentina for too long. She’s consumed his every thought for years, even as he put distance between them. When the dam breaks over the holidays and the truth emerges, will Banon and Valentina’s burning cravings finally erupt into a fire? This is a short, steamy holiday-themed monster romance novella about one nerdy goth girl and a football-playing minotaur. Secrets will be spilled and even more secrets kept, leading to an adorable HEA. My Review I am a sucker for a minotaur romance. Despit...

Book Review: The Price of Mercy

Image
Wishing for things you shouldn't makes them come true. Like craving the touch of the man who wants to kill you. Feeling the heat of his lover's jealous gaze. Or tasting the desire on your best friend's lips. Some people would call me selfish for wanting three wicked men, but if you knew the strings attached--saw the shadows they keep--you'd pity my heart for the pain. Because these men don't just love--they covet. They bleed. What started as a game becomes a battle for love, and none of us are coming out unscathed. Playing with hearts has deadly consequences. Book 2 of the  Dying for Love  duet, immediately following the events of book 1,  Begging for Mercy. Dark, angsty romance. HEA guaranteed. My Review I loved the first book, but this one made me "feral". Already was a big fan of Kane and Zane but the addition of Sam was the icing on the cake! I loved the addition of Sam and so happy he was featured prominently in this book. He is the bit of light in ...
