Now, as the head Cardiologist at the prestigious Silver Heart , Rene’s life is a testament to the power of compassion, forging unbreakable bonds with those he heals. Yet, when a patient’s relative—a formidable former Navy SEAL turned CIA operative —enters his orbit, Rene’s world is upended. Audiobook Review: Chasing Forever

TROPES 🐎 Ranch romance 💍 Woke up married 💒 Vegas wedding 🤭 Ex-fiancé's brother 🏡 Small town romance 💞 He falls first 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 It's always been her It was a fun Vegas getaway—until I woke up married to my ex-fiancé’s brother. After Watson brother #1 ditched me at the altar, I stopped believing in happily-ever-afters. So Ihave no clue how I ended up saying “I do” to Brooks—Watson brother #2—somewhere between tequila shots and bad decisions. Okay, that may not be true. Sheriff Watson has been a charming thorn in my side ever since his brother left our small ranch town in his rearview mirror. He’s a little too steady, a little too sweet, and way too intuitive because he sees through my facade. But no matter how tempting he is, he’s still a Watson. I demand an annulment. He refuses, bargaining four real dates before he signs. Fine. I’ll sabotage each one and keep my heart safely locked away. It’s easier this way because he has no idea the secret I’m keeping. Of course, Br...

Book Review: The Company of Vengeful Crows

Image
There’s a reason crows circle overhead nightly. It's to remind themselves of where they’ve been, where they’re going, and, most importantly, who they’re with—who is friend, and who is foe. Guardian River spent years cataloging every detail of how his best friend accidentally electrocuted his wings, leaving him scarred, flightless, and furious. The healers say his molting is psychological. That he needs to “forgive and forget” to heal. Crows don’t forget. And River won’t forgive. Nothing—not injury, not duty, not friendship—will stop him from delivering justice. But then Blake Hartley turns up and everything changes. She’s a glittery, stubborn,  married  human from the past with a knack for fixing broken things and a smile that makes his feathers twitch. She’s not supposed to matter. She’s not supposed to  get him . When their bond snaps into place, he becomes desperate to deny the one thing he swore love. Crow shifters don’t mate like other Fae. When they fall, the...

Book Review: Little Author

Image
Roux Pattel was locked away for life. The Maestro. Silent, deadly, infamous. But years behind bars had made him fade into the shadows. I took his story and twisted it into my dark, seductive fiction. My books made me rich, adored, and beloved. I never imagined my muse would ever walk free. But now he’s out. And the depraved sin I wrote for just my own pages feels too real. If he finds me, if he knows what I have done… He will make my fiction bleed into my own reality. I’m free. Free to tie up loose ends, and start anew my beautiful chorus line of kills… but now the shadows I tried to hide behind have been stripped away. She took my life and turned it into a watered-down fantasy. Made me into some soft, caring book boyfriend for the mindless masses. She made me soft, easier to swallow. But the man she wrote isn’t me. Not the published ones at least. She has every truth of my life on her pages. My pain. My past. My future. And now… I’m here to make my Little Author’s dark fantasies...

Book Review: The Red Mirror

Image
A stained mirror, a darkned heart, when a game from her past comes back Shye is forced to face the supernatural and one truth. Bloody Mary is real, and hasn't forgotten about her. The portal will open, and Mary will not let it close. My Review Rose and Shye have a sleepover. They decide to play the Bloody Mary Game. Play the game but beware that the consequences can be deadly. Bloody Mary is always watching and waiting.  I am not really afraid of much. In fact, I love horror movies. Although, there are a few things that I would never dare to play with, and one is a Ouija board, and the other is Bloody Mary.  I liked the concept of this book. However, I do wish that it was a bit longer so as to stretch out the appearance of Bloody Mary. That scene involving Bloody Mary and Shye was creepy and I was hooked. I would have liked to have seen the interaction between Bloody Mary and Rose and then I do feel like that would have amped up the spooky factor for me. Yet still a goo...
