Justice Makes A Killing

A heart-stopping thriller, Justice finds Rucker’s fictional defense lawyer facing his most daunting murder case yet, one that involves a beautiful lawyer accused of a passion killing, as well as a conspiracy that might implicate the multi-billion-dollar private prison industry.

My Review

This is the first book I have read in this series. This book can be read as a stand alone novel. Instant action from the get go.

Bobby is the type of leading character that I like to see in series. He can hold his own. He is smart and personable. Two qualities that I enjoy in characters. These qualities can really help make the difference between a "ok" book and a "really good" book. When I am engaged in the characters the story really comes alive. Yet, Bobby was not the only one that was engaging. There is Kate. She could have just given into her situation but she did not. She fought to help bring justice to the real people responsible for her situation.

This is a fast read. I was hooked and could not stop reading. Mr. Rucker pens a good, tight storyline with engaging characters. The pacing as I mentioned is fast with good intensity. Now, that I finished reading this book and enjoyed it. I plan to go back and check out the first one.
