The Song of the Stone Well is a quiet evening story set in a hidden meadow, where an ancient stone well hums softly beneath the earth and the air grows still as daylight fades.

Drawn by no clear intention, a listener arrives at the well and settles beside it as the meadow shifts from afternoon into dusk. What follows is not a journey outward, but inward — into memory, patience, and the deep listening of water and stone. The well begins to sing in its own way, sharing the slow recollections it has gathered across centuries: rain and roots, seasons and hands, children and keepers, silence and return.

This is a story about places that remember, and about what happens when someone is willing to pause long enough to listen. There is no urgency here, no lesson to extract, no destination to reach. The well does not offer answers — only presence, continuity, and rest.

Written in a calm, lyrical style, The Song of the Stone Well is intended for evening listening and quiet reflection. It is part of the Before Your Dream series, created to accompany moments of slowing down, when attention softens and the world feels gentle again.

This audiobook keeps quiet company at the edge of sleep, inviting the listener into a space where time loosens, sound becomes touch, and stillness itself feels like being held.

My Review

Grab the audiobook, sit back, relax, and enjoy. Elizabeth Copnall does a lovely job of narrating the audiobook. Her voice is so soothing, which is the point. Elizabeth's voice lulls me into relaxation.

I really enjoyed listening to this story. I love water and hearing about it rippling is calming. After listening to this story, it makes me want to go find a well and sit by it and just reflex and look into the water. This book is a favorite.

Discover a bedtime story for adults written to quiet the mind and soften the body, and a sleep story for adults that unfolds like falling snow—slow, steady, and unhurried. On a winter morning deep in a quiet valley, a solitary traveller crosses an old stone bridge as snow begins to fall.

The river below thickens with cold, the landscape softens, and time itself seems to slow. Nothing urgent calls. Nothing needs to be solved. The bridge waits, the valley holds, and each step becomes an invitation to rest. This is a gentle, immersive story shaped by atmosphere rather than plot—guided by light, breath, and the patient presence of the natural world.

As the traveller moves through frost, silence, and snow, the mind is allowed to loosen its grip, following the rhythm of walking and the hush of winter. Perfect for late evenings and quiet nights, this bedtime story for adults is designed to support
peaceful sleep and a calming zone before rest.

My Review

Grab your winter coat and your boots as we are going on a journey. As soon as I turned on the audiobook, I was transported into the forest during wintertime. I could feel the chill. Standing on a bridge in the middle of winter, just reflecting and appreciating the quietness of the forest.

Mike Frankland did a great job of narrating the audiobook. I enjoyed listening to his voice. It actually fit for the story. What I mean by this is that I have listened to other audiobooks by the author and they have been narrated by female voices. Yet, this is the first one where it was narrated by a male. Because of the story and my imagination of where it took place, I liked that it this audiobook is voiced by a male.

In the quiet hours after midnight, when the world has finally gone still, a single light appears in a small bakery tucked along Rosemary Lane. Behind its faded shutters, a lone baker begins his nightly ritual: lighting the old brick oven, preparing dough touched by memory and hope, and shaping pastries that carry more meaning than their simple ingredients suggest. In this warm, atmospheric tale from the Before Your Dream series, night becomes a place of comfort, reflection, and quiet magic.

The Midnight Bakery invites listeners into a world where time slows and the senses awaken. Flour settles like snow, the oven glows with steady warmth, and the baker’s movements are patient and unhurried. Those who step through the door at this hour arrive not for conversation but for something deeper—a moment of ease, a breath of peace, a small offering shaped in flour and intention. Each creation holds a purpose: comfort for the weary, courage for the burdened, hope for those who have forgotten how to rest.

This is a gentle, contemplative story meant to be heard when the mind grows heavy and the night feels long. With its soft cadence and soothing imagery, it is ideal for evening listening, quiet moments, or preparing for sleep. The Midnight Bakery offers the feeling of a warm space in the dark, a reminder that even in solitude, kindness can rise like bread in the oven.

Allow the glow of the fire, the hush of the night, and the simple acts of a quiet craft to guide you toward rest. A peaceful companion for bedtime or any hour when the heart needs a place to settle.

My Review

This is my first time listening to an audiobook narrated by BWC. After listening to this audiobook, I will be checking out more audiobooks narrated by BWC.

I loved this book. The quietness of a lone baker just in the zone with no one else around is nice. I know I find serenity in just going through my routine with just my own thoughts and no one else around. Listening to BWC, I was able to step into the shoes of the baker and see everything through their eyes.

This book is in my top favorites from author, Fedor. I will be doing a relisten again of this audiobook.
