Book Review: Saving Jessie's Girl

She may be my brother’s girl... but she’s mine

Benji

My voice was stolen from me years ago. Silence is all I’ve known ever since.

Until her.

She understands sign language, and for the first time, someone actually hears me.

There’s just one problem.

She’s my brother’s girlfriend.

No matter how badly he hurts her, she won’t leave him. Even when she’s falling apart in my arms, we break together.

We both know this has to end.

But I’m not ready to walk away.

Which means there’s only one thing left to do... I have to save Jessie’s girl.

My Review

Ooh, Lauren what did you do to me and my poor heart. As soon as I met Benji, I already knew which brother had my heart and soul. My affection for Benji only grew stronger as the story progressed. He would literally take a bullet for Emmy, if he had to.

I felt for Emmy. She found herself in a difficult situation. Caught between a rock and a hard place. While Jessie may have seen Emmy first and claimed her; it was Benji for the win that I was rooting for.

I love that Benji was mute. He said so much without his voice then he ever could with a voice. I had a friend when I was younger that was deaf and I learned signed language, so we could communicate. So, I felt this book deep in my soul. This book is a heartbreaker, must read!

Saving Jessie’s Girl is a dark romance loosely inspired by a hit song. It’s part of the Dark Hits series—an ongoing collection of standalone stories.
