Book Review: Bared Beneath The Trees

🔥 Bared Beneath The Trees is a scorching contemporary spicy romance novelette featuring:

  • A heroine done being invisible
  • Fresh breakup fury with nowhere to go
  • A silent, remarkably impactful stranger
  • Outdoor encounter
  • A woman who remembers exactly who she is
  • Explicit open-door spice
  • Sharp wit, real feelings, and zero apologies
  • One morning run that changes everything

Done shrinking. Done waiting. Done being invisible.

Three minutes.

Not very long for a man to last in bed. An eternity when you're wearing lace and standing in the doorway waiting for your boyfriend to notice you.

He never did.

That was then. This is the morning after Erin found out exactly why — and she is done shrinking for men who don't deserve the space she takes up.

So she laces up her running shoes, like she does every morning, and hits the Tampa Riverwalk.

To burn off some steam? For fresh air? For space and trees and her music blasting in her ears?

She couldn’t say.

She only knows that she’s pissed.

And that if she doesn’t get some of it out, she’s going to find Matteo and run him over with her car.

That’s the cloud Erin is running in this morning.

And that's when she sees him.

A Man, capital M.

The kind that makes you understand what they meant when they invented the word gawp.

The kind that looks at you like he already knows exactly how you taste.

The kind that makes you want him to find out if he’s right.

She definitely shouldn't follow him into the woods.

Erin knows this.

But knowing and doing are such different things.

My Review

I am not a fan of running or jogging but after reading this novella, I may just have to suck it up and put on my running shoes. I am so glad that Erin found inspiration in the mysterious "Man". Her ex-boyfriend is horrible. He does not deserve her.

I like that the "Man" has no name. It allows the reader like me to take liberalities in picturing the "Man", how I want and to give him a name as I see fit. So, for each reader the experience will be different.

This novella is another quickie, fun, and steamy read from author, Beatrice Avery.
