Book Review: Sweet Like Candy

 


Jason never deserved me. I know that now more than ever. He spun his web of lies and deceit so deep, and he had me fooled for far too long. But the truth always comes to light, one way or another. After suffering in our toxic relationship for over a year, I finally know my self-worth.

I’m ready to take back my life, even if that means ending his.

Knox came into my life like a wicked storm. Beautiful and brutal, turning my world upside down. He ignites a fire within me that I thought had long ago lost its spark. His passion and fury challenges me to embrace my darkness and fulfill my daunting desires.

He says I’m sweet like Candy, but one can only stay sweet for so long.


My Review

As soon as I met Knox and he told Candy not to cry over her dead beat soon to be ex, I instantly fell in love with him. I love that he encouraged Candy to show her ex what a jerk he is and what he would never have again. Yep, that is because Knox claimed Candy as soon as he met her. 

"Eyes on me sweetness."

I liked the little "dark" side that Candy showed. She is not all sweet like cotton candy. After meeting Knox, I would say she is like rock candy. 

"He whispers, his voice deep and deliciously dark."

I liked this novella. It is a quick read. I would not mind seeing Knox and Candy again in the future. If you are new to Cadence, you will fall in love and want more.
