Book Review: A Hunger in Every Heart

Rapunzel meets Little Red Riding Hood in this spicy and addictive standalone fantasy romance from the world of #1 Fantasy bestseller, A Thorn in Every Heart

The Sorceress:
Fae princess Aurelia wants nothing more than to have an adventure. Raised in secret to keep her safe from her tyrannical father, she was never allowed to claim her royal heritage or even leave her tower. Now, her father is dead and she’s free to go wherever she wants, but she still can’t seem to find the will to walk away…all because of the silent and aloof captain of the guards.

The Soldier:
Half-fae, half-wolf shifter, Fox’s life has been one long, dangerous adventure. Drafted into the deadliest army in Ellender at age six, he fought every day of his life just to stay alive. Now, he’s somehow found himself captaining the new king’s private army, and becoming far too interested in the tiny, annoyingly optimistic sorceress next door.

Fox and Aurelia have maintained a secret casual relationship for almost two years. During the day they never speak, but at night he makes her scream. It’s supposed to stay strictly physical, and Fox especially is adamant that no feelings get involved. But when Aurelia finally has a reason to leave on the adventure she’s always wanted, Fox finds he can’t let her go without a fight.

My Review

Fox and Aurelia are amazing together. I knew where things would be heading with these two in regard to feelings becoming very real. However, I still did not expect how much I would become obsessed with these two. You know what is very hot...Fox growling!

"Every part of her is mine"

Fox fell first and hard for Aurelia. The way that he just wanted to protect her is very endearing. Aurelia is no wallflower though. She is a good fighter. I laughed when Aurelia talked about "next" time and Fox wanted to "throttle" her about even thinking about a "next" time.

"He's my bond"

While each book can be read as stand alones; I do enjoy every time the other characters make appearances. I get to catch up with them and their current lives. Love this book. I am "growling" at the top of my lungs to READ THIS BOOK!
