Audiobook Review: Sweet Home
Will secrets from her past threaten the future they both long for?
Single dad West Lawrence never wanted anything more than what he has right now—a beautiful home on the dairy farm with his family, a thriving small town medical practice by the park, and a precocious four-year-old daughter who keeps him on his toes.
When the young doctor is called to the local mechanic shop to check on a mysterious stranger, he doesn’t expect that the stranger will be a beautiful woman. And he never dreams that her sudden presence will not only show him how lonely he’s been, but how much he has secretly wondered if little Elizabeth really needs a mom.
All Dulcie has ever wanted for Christmas was a place to call home and people to love. So when she finds herself stranded for the holidays with an achingly gorgeous doctor and his adorable daughter, in a small town so charming it looks like something out of a movie, she’s ready to hold on with both hands to all the goodness the universe is offering—even if it’s only temporary.
But just when it starts to feel like they might be meant for each other, a secret from Dulcie’s past threatens to tear it all apart. Can their hope for happiness survive these inescapable truths?

My Review
I briefly met West and his daughter, Elizabeth in a prior book. It was nice to get to see them again with their own story. Elizabeth is a cutie pie. I could not help but instantly fall in love with her. West has a very kind heart. The way that he helped Dulcie but without pushing her for information of why she was in Sugarvillle Grove but at the same time allowing her to find her confidence was endearing.
Which Dulcie was timid in the beginning. Yet as the story progressed, she broke out of her shell more and it was lovely to see. She and West were lovely together but I really liked the close bond that Dulcie and Elizabeth shared.
I have been working my way through this series via the audiobooks. This one is performed in dual narration by Shiloh James & Lance Greenfield. Both new to me narrators. Yet, this will not be the last time I listen to both of their voices.
