Book Review: The Love Wager

Indie Monroe thought her best friend’s wedding would be the perfect excuse for a much-needed break from her startup grind. But this trip? It’s about to shake up her life in ways she never saw coming.

Brooks Holt was desperate for a Hail Mary to claw his way out of the mess he'd made. The fiery, sharp-tongued redheaded bridesmaid wasn’t even on his radar—until suddenly, she was all he could think about.

It's only one week. Will it make or break them?

My Review

Indie and Brooks's first introduction is everything and more. In fact, once I really got to know them both better, it was the perfect meet cute.

Indie is fiery hot like Fireball! I love that she does not wait for Brooks to make the first move. She says something and then reacts on it. The scene where Indie launched herself at Brooks and they fell in a mud puddle, only to have Brooks's Aunt chastise him.

Having read all of K.M.'s books, I know she can write. She brings the "D" in dark romance! So, reading this book was a very exciting change of pace. If you want to know what you can expect, how about this scene:

Indie and Brooks go from sharing a sweet moment talking on a blanket with a picnic basket to Indie pulling out of the basket some "sexy time" items with Indie waving a particular item like Harry Potter's wand!

This book is a pure entertainment delight of yummy goodness! I wanted it to never end. Cindy and K.M., I am going to need you to write at least ten more books at minimum together.
