Book Review: Brutal Prince

Image
Book 1 of 6: Brutal Birthright Series BLURB// They're a match made in Hell. The Griffins and the Gallos have been battling for control of Chicago's underworld for generations. Their rivalry has always been flammable, but it reignites with a fury when Aida, the youngest and wildest Gallo sibling, crashes a party at the Griffin mansion and accidentally sets fire to the library. To stave off all-out war, her father quickly arranges a marriage between her and Callum Griffin, eldest son and heir to the Irish mafia. Cold, ambitious, and brutal, Callum is determined to tame his headstrong new bride. But Aida is more than capable of giving as good as she gets―starting with poisoning Callum on their wedding night. Book Review: Hard to Swallow

Image
Online dating in your thirties will make even the most optimistic person skeptical. When Margo comes across Adam’s profile with a bit of scrutiny, she takes a chance on the extremely handsome pharmacist. Meanwhile, all Adam needs to swipe right is Margo’s chestnut brown eyes and her occupation as a community college professor. Through flirty texts, their connection is magnetic—almost too good to be true. After an incredible, once in a lifetime date, Margo does what any woman with trust issues would do—she runs. Fortunately for Adam, she doesn’t get far, and he discovers why she’s avoiding the one person who may understand her better than she thinks. Hard to Swallow is an instalove, high-spice, romantic comedy novella, intended for mature audiences. Just because it’s a good time, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check your content warnings. My Review Adam is so caring towards Margo. The way that he never pushed Margo to go too far and always thought of her comfort. In addition, to makin...

Book Review: The Shattered Morningstar

The Fallen Angel Longed for Her Touch... Long ago, Pheriel, once a devoted angel of the Lord, fell from grace during Lucifer’s rebellion due to love for a mortal maiden, yet unlike most of his fallen kin, his heart remained untainted, burdened by his guilt and longing for redemption. Pheriel’s penance came in the form of servitude, and found himself bound to the mortal realm as a guardian for those who dared summon angelic aid through forbidden magic. Eleanor, a fiercely intelligent young woman trapped in Victorian society, is one such summoner. Stifled by her father’s oppressive household and the rigid expectations of her era, she performs a daring ritual to call forth an angelic protector. What she receives is Pheriel, the handsome Seraphim who cannot help but blush in her presence. For countless centuries he longed for a beautiful woman to be his master, but having his wish granted proves an unbearable torment, as he is forbidden to make physical contact of any kind with morta...

Book Review: War

Image
I’ve never been a good bet. I wear my emotions on my tattoo-covered sleeve, I say all the wrong things and I revel in pissing off a certain redhead far more than I should. In other words, I’m the last person the court would choose to parent any child, let alone three of them. Yet being their father is all I want. So when the woman I love to hate offers to help make all my dreams come true, I jump at the chance. Marrying Ava is a convenient solution: she's my kids favorite person and the court will absolutely approve of the woman who runs the biggest charity in Boston. But there is nothing convenient about the way I feel when she fights with me, or when we kiss. And I'm not sure which I enjoy more. This marriage may have a time limit but I'm beginning to think I'd like to keep my wife. She’ll probably fight me on it, but as they say, all’s fair in love and  war . My Review Tyler aka War's story is my newest favorite in this series. His children Josie, Scarlett, and...

Image

But when she chooses Hallow’s Cove as her retreat destination, she doesn’t realize it’s a town inhabited almost purely by monsters—including her grumpy new landlord, Barnaby. It’s no secret that Barnaby the bookstore owner is a vampire, but he’s long since tamed his urge to drink human blood. That is, until Maisie arrives in Hallow’s Cove. Her blood smells utterly wonderful, and Barnaby finds himself drawn to her scent just as much as he is to her genuine, curious personality. But Barnaby fears his attraction, too, because he carries a inside every vampire is a monster, one that’s never been seen or written about. Book Review: Slaying the Holidays

Image
When I said "get a new hobby," I meant kayaking, not decking the halls with garlands of gore. My newest therapy client is the definition of a DILF. His distractingly handsome face is all to blame for my mess up. If that wasn’t bad enough, now I’m practically stalking the murderous golden retriever. Can he even hear me arguing for pottery classes over the electric carver? Oh, it's a bone saw?  My mistake. Merry Christmas!  I’m getting myself an accessory to murder. ★★★ After a helpful talk with my beautiful divorce therapist, I decided to get into manslaughter. Maybe it's not the hobby she had in mind, but the idea always interested me, and there's plenty of predators I’d love to turn into  prey . And what do you know? My therapist was right. I  do  feel better! She seems a little ethically confused and personally concerned. She’s even cuter grumpy and exasperated. We’d make the perfect couple if she’d stop threatening to call the FBI. My Review Who doesn'...
