Book Review: Sleigh Me If You Can

Nellie has three good reasons for why falling in love with her best friend’s brother is not a Christmas miracle:

  1. She never wanted to fall in love in the first place
  2. She especially didn’t want to fall in love with him
  3. It didn’t happen at Christmas

Because sure, after months of trying to convince themselves that they weren’t perfect for each other, JP and Nellie finally gave in to their feelings, but that happened barely a month before the holidays began.

Which is why Nellie absolutely refuses to bring her new boyfriend home to her mother’s house for Christmas.

Faced with the pressure to make up for her decision by finding JP the perfect Christmas gift, Nellie starts to wonder if the unsolicited opinions that come from being in a new relationship are worth it. But when JP is roped into bringing his Big Nick Energy to the office Christmas party, will Nellie step in and don her elf apparel so they can jingle all the way through a wild evening of spreading Christmas cheer to his quirky coworkers?

Sleigh Me If You Can is a spicy, low-angst, high-fun holiday romance novella. It can be read as a standalone, though it is part of the If You Can series and takes place after Keep Me If You Can, book 3 in the series. This series features an unapologetically sensual college student as she explores unconventional relationships.

My Review

I love, love this book. It kind of felt like a love letter to Nellie and JP and me. Yes, me because I have grown so attached to these two and was not ready for the series to end. So, this book was like the cherry on top. This book is a must read that even Santa would approve!

The first chapter had me laughing and smiling. It shows the typical relationship that JP and Nellie have with Nellie saying she wants to break up with JP. Not just once or twice but numerous times and sometimes several times a week. JP laughing because he knows that Nellie is not serious and even Nellie knows she does not mean it.

Reading this book, I got to see the progression of Nellie and JP's relationship. While scary, they are ready to slowly take baby steps towards a stronger relationship but still keeping it sexy and fun. The Christmas gift that Nellie got JP, just warmed my heart.
