Book Review: Home for the Hockey-Days

In the frozen heart of Cedar Rapids, hockey hotshot August Kade collides with more than just his on-ice rivals when a fender bender sparks unexpected fire with Rowan Armistead - the whip-smart ex of his fiercest competitor.

As Christmas lights twinkle and tensions rise, the polar opposites find themselves skating on thinning ice.

Can the jock and the introspective beauty conquer their societal divides and the ghosts of relationships past? Or will their smoldering romance shatter under the weight of old wounds before the last hockey-day puck drops?

"Home for the Hockey-Days" is a sizzling novella about the improbable across-the-tracks romance that proves sometimes the greatest gifts come wrapped in unlikely packages.

My Review

I loved this novella. It was great to go back in time and visit with the guys. Love the De La Peña twins. Everything about the Cedar Rapids Raccoons world is great. Readers who love this series will love this novella.

August and Rowan did give off a bit of an enemies to lovers vibe. Yet, it was nothing compared to the chemistry that these two shared. It only ignited into a full flame when August entered Rowan's hotel room. Things got really spicy from this moment one.

Everyone needs an Aunt Maggie, who will call out their nephew to not mess things up and willingly offer up baby pictures for entertainment.
