From author A.R. Rose comes a STANDALONE feel good holiday romance with fake dating, found family, and a cat named Potato...

A wise woman once told me no one should have to spend the holidays alone, and with my first Christmas after losing my family quickly approaching, I decide to take her advice to heart.

My plan is impulsive, but simple: create a dating profile and attend a few Christmas parties throughout the month to combat the loneliness.

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect an avalanche of messages full of men eager for me to be their “holidate”. From office parties to family gatherings, there’s no shortage of festivities to fill my calendar.

And with my no strings rule, it should be simple, right?

That’s what I thought, too. Until I meet someone who piques my interest in ways I never imagined, and I single-handedly redefine what it means to ‘make an entrance’.

Now I can’t help but wonder if the term falling in love is more literal than it seems.

My Review

His Warning: Drinking wine and having impulsive thoughts can be a scary combo!

Zee did just that when she signed up on the SparksFly app looking for holidates. Because no one should be lonely during the holiday. Zee has several men that DM her for various dates. She decides to take them all up on their offers.

There is Mateo. Zee and Mateo decorate cookies. At the end of the date, Mateo just gives Zee a kiss and when she says is that all, Mateo quotes her SparksFly bio "No strings, no s#x". I laughed at this. Next is the hunky IT nerd, Ethan. They attend his work Christmas party. This was a fun party.

Axel is the next guy that Zee goes out with. They attend an ugly sweater party and baking competition. Who doesn't love a good ugly sweater.  Then there is Lincoln. He and Zee attend Christmas Eve dinner at his parents' house. I really like Lincoln's parents. It is here that Zee visits a Christmas tree farm and meets Miller.

I liked this book. It was charming. All of the guys are nice, but I think that Zee did make the right choice in guys. Every time that Zee's cat, Potato made an appearance, he did steal the scene. This is a fun holiday read.
