My Review

To be honest, I am not that familiar with Big Freedia. However, I have heard some of her music but just didn't really recognize. Although, I have to say that after reading this book, I will remember the name Big Freedia. She is a queen and I want to know more about her. 

While, I did like getting to know about Big Freedia's and her childhood. I did feel like the book was a bit light. It is kind of hard to explain but it was like I was missing pieces. It was like Big Freedia just having a conversation talking about her life but the footnote version. After reading this book, I will be educating myself more on the history of bounce music.
