My Review
Eve thought she was going to have a fun "mystery free" time with her best friend, Tiana. She was wrong. By now, Eve should not be surprised that wherever she goes, trouble follows.
The story started and moved at a fast pace. There was a lot happening, but it was still easy to follow along. I left the detective work to Eve Tiana, and her furry companions. They all worked well together to solve the mystery of "who dun it."
It is great to have one narrator doing the audiobooks. You become familiar with their voice and there is consistency. That is the way with these audiobooks and Julie McKay narrating. I have quickly become familiar and a fan of listening to her narrating the audiobooks. This is a twisty mystery of a read.
Planning a wedding…
Can be murder.
Dog trainer and amateur sleuth, Eve, is thrilled that she and Aidan are beginning to plan their wedding, but she never would have guessed that looking at venues and tasting cakes could be so stressful. With less than a year to go, time isn’t on their side, and in the midst of her planning, Eve needs to meet with her landlord to let him know she won’t be renewing her lease.
All is well, until her landlord never shows up to their scheduled meeting, and when Eve learns he has been murdered.
With no time to lose, and a case that hits way to close to home, literally, Eve dives into an investigation for a truth that may change everything.
Can she close the case in time for wedding bells to be ringing on schedule?
My Review
Eve and Aidan are finally getting closer to becoming wife and husband. As usual, wedding planning will not be smooth sailing. Eve has a new mystery to solve.
Again, this book like the other books are quick reads or in my case quick listens. Go for the ALC. The audiobook is singerly narrated, but Julie does a really great job of voicing all of the characters both female and male.
Eve with the help if her friends are able to solve the case and wrap it all up nicely. Good thing as this woman has a wedding to plan.
Sometimes change…
Can be murder.
Search and Rescue dog trainer and amateur sleuth, Eve, is delighted to visit the local nursing home after Willow completed her training as a therapy dog. Their visit is going well until it’s interrupted by a terrible discovery. The new director of the nursing home has been found murdered.
The victim was a friend of Eve’s boss, who was distraught when she heard the terrifying news. Eve decides to do some digging in her spare time and learns that the woman had quite a few potential enemies, but with her boss’s help, she manages to narrow the suspect list down.
She also discovers some very interesting secrets.
Can she crack the case by sniffing out the truth? Find out in this exciting Canine Cozy Mystery!
My Review
I liked seeing Willow in action again. She sees things differently from her brother, Atlas. This is a good thing. In this case, she found something that really helped with the case. Eve and Willow are working very well together.
In the case of this mystery, I did solve the case fairly quickly in regard to who the culprit is but I still enjoyed listening to the story and seeing how all the pieces came together in the end.
If you want a real immersive experience, grab the ALC to go with your book. Read and listen and take the journey to the next level.
