Book Review: Currency in Flesh
“I’m never going to want this.”
“Oh, I know,” she replied. I felt her smile against my skin. “You are going to need it.”
Ten years of regret. Ten years of hiding bruises and putting on a false smile.
Grace Schafer has lost herself in the shadow of her husband’s brutality. All the confidence she once possessed has been replaced by fear and resentment.
Sean Schafer made certain he could never fail, but wealth and success came at a great cost, and the time has arrived to collect what is due.
Grace finds herself at the mercy of the Queen of the Underworld—Sean’s final cruelty.
Debts must be settled, and this time, a soul is not enough. Lady Cora requires compensation and Grace’s body is more than willing to pay. But if the Queen demands more, can Grace face the demons of her past?
Currency in Flesh is a dark romance inspired by the myth of Hades and Persephone and The Fall of the House of Usher.
My Review
Ooh, I really love this book. If you are a fan of FF romances, retelling stories, or just looking for a book that will suck you in for hours, then you need to pick up a copy of this book today It is so sinfully dark and sizzling delicious!
Lady Cora and Grace are opposites. Lady Cora is the Queen of the Underworld, but she instantly takes a liking to Grace. Grace finds her confidence again with Lady Cora no thanks to her horrible husband, Sean. He did not deserve a woman like Grace.
I am not usually a fan of nicknames like "pet but when Lady Cora calls Grace "pet" and "daffodil", I do melt. These two terms are terms of endearment that Lady Cora uses to show Grace how much she loves her.
