Book Review: Eternal
I made a deal with the devil...
Declan Pierce is a bully and a sadist. He’s been my enemy since birth, and he’s made my life a living hell. But when my father barters me in an arranged marriage, Declan proposes a deal I can’t refuse.
After all, so long as Declan owns my soul, it can’t be sold to another…
But it turns out Declan wants more than I bargained for. My body, my submission, the truth behind what sent me to Montgomery Psychiatric Ward three years ago. And he’ll haunt every facet of my existence until he gets it.
I thought death was the only truly inescapable thing. After all, nothing is eternal… except maybe him.
My Review
If you like bully romances, then, this is the book for you. Declan is the ultimate bully. Yet, the way that he cares for Teal's mental health is endearing. He is someone that you love to hate but also like as well. So, in other words, your next book boyfriend.
I love that Teal did not wilter under Declan's persona. This is why Declan craved her. He liked the challenge. In his own way, he cared for Teal even if his actions and words did not always show it. Because I can tell you that Declan did a good job of making me not like him in the beginning. Yet, you could say that Declan slowly grew on me.
I like that Eva did not shy away from the mental health featured in this story. It is a part of Teal and why it did not define her, it is a part of who she is. The spice is steamy hot.
