Book Review: Love, Interrupted
Nikki Malone’s To Do List:
Join a sorority
Make new friends
Secure Career Connections
Find Love
Nikki Malone’s life is on track. She can balance school, sports, and a thriving social life without breaking a sweat. What she can’t do is keep her heart rate from skyrocketing when Brad Matthews starts sitting next to her in class. Brad is easy going, flirtatious…and so good looking Nikki can hardly speak. Maybe that’s why she needs three friends and a thesaurus to write an AOL message and spends all her time obsessing over whether or not they’re dating. Until they really aren’t.
Years later Nikki goes back home with a new To Do List all to have Brad Matthews walk back into her life and make her wonder if the second or third time's the charm.
My Review
Let me tell you that Nikki and Brad relationship ran hot and cold. It was not an easy one for sure. There was a lot of emotions between them. Both were a bit stubborn and afraid of getting hurt. Yet, they did get hurt by the many words left unspoken.
I was on a roller coaster as these two navigated their relationship. Nikki and Brad were meant to be together and that is why I was rooting for them.
This book is broken out into three parts with different timelines. It shows how they met in college only to lose each other and then to find each other again but it is not their time for an HEA yet. Nope, time has to pass again for many years before they finally get their HEA.
This book is more of an emotional read. The spice is low but not every romance book has to have lots of spicy scenes. I enjoyed this book.
