Book Review: In Shadows We Dance

A girl who hides in the shadows.
A boy who collects secrets.
One spilled drink that changes everything.

Ileana Moreno has perfected the art of invisibility, slipping through life unnoticed and pouring her soul into ballet to escape the suffocating walls of her home. But all it takes is one careless moment to capture the attention of Wren Carlisle—the boy with a camera, a taste for obsession, and a dangerous need to uncover what’s hidden.

She dances to forget. He watches to consume.

What starts as a subtle game of cat and mouse soon becomes a dangerous dance of obsession, control, and desire. The more Ileana tries to disappear, the harder Wren pulls her into his world, where her secrets are his currency, and her resistance only fuels his fixation.

To be seen by him is to burn. But some flames are impossible to resist.

He will have her, no matter the cost.
She has to decide if surrendering to the devil is worth the fall.

From one of the authors who brought you the
Churchill Bradley Academy series, comes a new dark, seductive, and addictive standalone stalker/bully romance with a guaranteed HEA at the end.

My Review
To be honest because Ileana wanted to hide in the shadows, if I had been around her, I would not have noticed her. She was a wallflower until that one moment with Wren in the cafeteria. From that point on, she was on Wren's radar and could not escape.

"I'll tear their world apart before I let them touch mine".

As the story progressed, Ileana did bloom into a woman. I was drawn to Wren instantly. The way that he watched Ileana and how he touched her. It did leave me breathless. Wren calling Ileana "ballerina", was a great term of endearment. All Ileana needed was someone like Wren to allow her to shine. She truly did shine.

"In the darkness that binds us".

I loved this book so much. A hundred percent fully invested in Wren and Ileana. The author wrote a beautiful story of two souls drawn to each other in the shadows.

"In shadows, we dance forever".
