Book Review: Hollyhocks
I’m a monster DNA experiment and I crave the desire coursing through his veins.
The DNA experiments killed me.
I was sent to a place called Purgatory.
It was full of creatures of all types and that’s where I learned to embrace all of mine.
Until I had the opportunity to escape.
Now I’m in a world where I can feed off the desire of anyone I want.
Some are sweet, some are savory, some are bitter with resentment…
Those tend to be my favorite.
Then, I noticed Fitz, a delicious looking man, and not only does he need me, but he needs a neighbor.
And I’m going to make myself right at home.
In his house.
In his bed.
In his dreams.
I’m drawn to him and his desire fills me like no other.
I’m sated.
I’m going to mark him, claim him, and kill anyone who dares to get in my way.
This man is mine to have.
And all my beasts agree.
*This is an mf romance and the FMC (female main character) is the monster stalker. This can be read alone but the author recommends reading in order*
My Review
Ahh, my Fitz or should I say Doe Eyes. I absolutely love this nickname that Holly called Fitz. I could not help but keep calling him Doe Eyes. Fitz is not the only one that has a nickname. Holly is known as Wildflower.
The fact that Holly is the unhinged one had me literally screaming with joy. She is all kinds of perfect. The way that she "stalked" Fitz and claimed him in his sleep is HOT!! Poor Fitz thinking he was dying because of Holly's marks on him. If you asked Rhett and Creed, they would have told you that Fitz smelled like last week's old trash.
A couple of my favorite funny moments involved Creed. The moment in Demi's Diner when Creed bites Fitz in the leg. There is also the scene where Creed is using his "Dad" voice with Storm. You and me both Fitz did not expect Creed to go into "Dad" mode so easily, but I love it.
This book is perfection!
