Book Review: Sweet Magnolia

It wasn’t supposed to be like this. When I left my small town for the big city, I had my eyes set on a bright future. Somehow, darkness settled into my life. When I finally find my freedom, I go back to my roots and vow to rebuild my life. I expect resistance, but I am met with the same love I once ran from.

Appalachia is my home, but Beau is my peace.

This is a second-chance romance with heavier triggers. Reader's discretion is advised.

My Review

This is a very quick read. There is not a lead up before Magnolia and Beau share a physical connection. A reason for this is because Magnolia and Beau already are friends when he comes to help rescue Magnolia from her situation.

What transpires next is a short, steamy scene between Magnolia and Beau. Yet, this moment also allows these two to open up about their past and the emotional, physical, and mental toll it took on them both. Through this they were both able to open their hearts and find love.
