Murder on the Orient Express

What more can a mystery addict desire than a much-loathed murder victim found aboard the luxurious Orient Express with multiple stab wounds, thirteen likely suspects, an incomparably brilliant detective in Hercule Poirot, and the most ingenious crime ever conceived?

My Review

It has been a long time since I have read an Agatha Christie book. In anticipation of wanting to check out this movie, I decided to pick up a copy of the book to read. I enjoyed it. Detective Hercule is a smart man. I thoroughly enjoyed this about him. There is nothing worse then a dumb detective. He did not let anything escape him, even the smallest details.

There is a bevy of intriguing characters. This book reads kind of like the board game Clue. Which, if you are a fan of mysteries, you will enjoy this aspect. While, I did like the many different characters and the fact that they did not get muddied within the story. Yet, I never fully embraced the characters. To be honest, the plot was alright. A nice cozy mystery. Overall, a good book that will occupy your time for an afternoon.
