Tobias “Slim” Jackson has the perfect life as a pilot on Gansett Island in the summer and in Florida in the winter. He’s happiest when he’s in the air, or at least that was the case before last summer when he met Erin Barton, Gansett Island’s newest lighthouse keeper. Now Slim’s come home to Gansett for the holidays and to hopefully pick up where he left off with Erin. He’s got twelve days before he’s due back in Florida to finish out the remainder of his winter obligations. My Review

I have read a few books by this author but this is the first one I have read in this series. I was not quite sure if I would be able to jump right into this book due to the beginning introduction by the author mentioning that "sometimes we have to go back to go forward". So seeing as to the fact that this is book fifteen in this series, I did not have a lot of hopes that I would be able to fully enjoy this book. Plus, the fact that the other books I have read by this author were more romantic suspense novels.

At first it did take me about four chapters into the story to actually warm up to not just Slim and Erin but the rest of the Gansett Island cast. Everyone I was introduced to I liked. They are a fun crowd to hang out with and very inviting. I shared laughs with everyone. No one played second string in this book. I am going to go back and start at the beginning of this series as I had an enjoyable time reading this book. I can't wait to read Mallory story.
