Book Review: Ghosts in the Walls

First came the bruises. Then the blood.

The cameras caught only shadows. I remember nothing.

Now I'm trapped in my dead grandmother's Victorian mansion with three Christmas ghosts who've spent a century punishing my bloodline.

Past remembers every family sin. Present craves my every sensation. Future has already seen how I die.

But I'm not going quietly.

I set traps. I make them bleed. I hunt the ghosts haunting me.

Then something worse begins stirring inside the walls. Something that doesn't just want to haunt me.

It wants to wear my body forever.

And the monsters determined to ruin me might be the only ones who can save me.

My Review

When Emily says this novella is pitch black, she means it is PITCH BLACK!! I am here for it all. Every tormented moment that Past, Present, and Future inflict on Melody. I love how Melody does not just sit back and take it. Nope, she is a fighter. She taunts these three men. Yet, the more she fights the more they love it.

"We must keep her fractured. We must break her until her mind belongs to us."

I loved all three men. They were all snarky in their own unique way. I honestly could not pick a favorite. That is the best part of a why choose book, I don't have to choose just one as I choose all three. With three men, you can expect the spice to be extra spicy! Beware the holly berries and Christmas lights. Make sure you grab this novella. The perfect stocking stuffer.

"You cannot escape what is already bound to you."

⚠️ This is a PITCH-BLACK novella with horror elements. Please check the trigger warnings before reading.

Ghosts in the Walls is a standalone dark Christmas Carol romance retelling featuring non-consent, body horror, feminine revenge, unhinged ghosts, redemption, and a haunting happily ever after.
