Book Review: A Cowboy's Christmas

One day…

That’s what I always tell myself when I see the love my best friend, Jaxon Walker, shares with his wife. One day, I will have that.

But the universe plays cruel games. It gives me her, but she’s forbidden. The court assigns a lost, young woman over Christmas to do community service at Walker Ranch, where I work, while still finishing her college degree. I’m tasked with keeping her out of trouble. Not get into it with me. I’m supposed to be the voice of reason.

I try everything in me to keep it professional, but the connection is stronger than I’ve ever felt. She pushes every button I have. Most days I want to strangle her… but I get the feeling she’d like that…

When her crew comes looking for her, I need to keep her away from them and assure the courts that she’s changed so they don’t send her to jail

But how do I keep my feelings secret and save the girl who’s slowly possessing my entire heart?

My Review

Logan and Miry may not have pictured Miry when he was thinking about his future but now, she is all he can think about. Despite these two not having an established relationship, I was feelings the chemistry between these two. Logan was showing golden retriever vibes that I was digging. This does not mean that everything is sweet. Nope. The romance is on the sweet and steamy side.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a quickie read. One of my favorite tropes is forced proximity. This book has engaging characters and a good storyline. It is also my first introduction to this author, and it won't be my last. If you like small town stories with a holiday setting, steamy romance, and strong FMC and MMC, then you will want to pick up a copy of this book.
