Book Review: The WWCC Heroes: Pablo's Adventure
Some friends are big and strong... Some are small, but the only thing that really matters in life, is being a good friend to all!
When the World Wide Chess Championship comes to town, Pablo Prairie Dog finally meets his hero, Bodacious Buffalo, the half-human, half-buffalo hero of the WWCC - a wild mix of chess and professional wrestling. Disappointment follows when Pablo, who wants nothing more than to train as a WWCC hero, is cast aside because of his small size. Pablo finally gets his chance to shine when he's the only creature small enough to save Buffalo's treasured pet kitty, Chili, from a dangerous well. Through his adventures with the WWCC all-star team, Pablo Prairie Dog discovers his own importance and realizes his unique qualities are what make him special.
Join Pablo Prairie Dog and his friends on the adventure of a lifetime! Bodacious Buffalo, Chili, Chatty Chick-Dog, Ellegirl, Rancorous Ram and Malapert Mustang will entertain and excite readers of all ages.
My Review
This is a cute book. I liked all the characters, especially Pablo. He is the main character. I found this book easy to read. The only part that might be hard for the young readers is the pronounce of the characters' names. Otherwise, readers like my niece who is eight will still find this book easy to read.
The book is in duo languages of English and Spanish. I liked this concept as there Spanish is a prominent language spoken today. So, children that read both languages or one or the other can both enjoy this book.
There is a good lesson that is taught in this book of "Some friends are big and strong...some are small, but the only thing that really matters in life is being a good friend to all!"
